Accountability Partner?

Do you already have a Beachbody program, like Insanity, T25, P90X, Les Mills Pump, Hip Hop Abs but don't have a coach, or accountability partner? I would love to help you!  I have realized in the last couple of months, that my desire is to help people.  I'm not concerned about the program you have, I just want to help.  Many times, people purchase a program (whether through Beachbody, or Wal-mart, or where ever) and are very excited to get started and half way through the program, they get off track.  They let life get in the way.  I used to be one of the ones that would start and stop programs, and NEVER see results, but I found a great accountability partner/coach.  Actually, it is an entire group of people.  :-)

What is keeping you from reaching your goals?  Are you one of those that has started/stopped many different programs?  My hubs and I call it workout A.D.D. And boy did I have that!  I still do, to a point, but I honestly think it is because I want to try all the programs!

"Believe in yourself so strongly, that the world can't help but believe in you too."  You are awesome, and strong, and you can do this!  We can do this together.

I would love to chat with you all individually about what we can do to help you through your plateau, or even to get you started.

More decisions? To get what you want...

In order to get something you want very much, you may have to let go of something that is taking up space in your life. This could be a job or a living situation or a relationship. The problem is that you have grown used to the way things are. Moving beyond something you have become familiar with is not as easy as it sounds. But sometimes you have to take risks and let go of the familiar if you want to make your life better. If there is something in your heart worth pursuing, you will have to tread on unknown territory. But the destination will be well worth the journey.

End of July

July is done!!!!  Wow, this has been a busy month!  I had an awesome vacation with my parents, they came to visit us this time.  :-)  We spent a good part of our time in Destin enjoying the beach (and they did not have to stay in my house, which removed a lot of the stress that comes with the parents visiting.)  So on top of all that, I already posted that I made Emerald with Team Beachbody! (WooHoo!)  So, that leads me to why I'm blogging today.  Today is the last day for the July specials.  Piyo, 21 Day Fix (in Spanish) and the 3-day refresh.  Send me a message if you are interested.  I'll post what the August Specials are tomorrow.  :-)

So school starts for the kids August 6, so this weekend is getting the rest of the necessary items.  According to my baby girl, that would be lots and lots of clothes...well, we will have to do some compromising on that one.  :-)

PiYo!!!

So I recently became a certified PiYo instructor; and SUPER happy about that.  What is PiYo, you may ask?

Like Yoga? Like Pilates? Is your body worn out from the high impact work outs you've been doing? PIYO combines Yoga and Pilates for a body sculpting work out!!

I will tell you, I was so sore ALL over the day after the training class.  And then I did a practice class at home...goodness, parts of me where hurting I didn't know COULD hurt!  It was a great feeling.  So, when Beachbody announced that they were releasing the PiYo home version, I had to get it.  I am patiently waiting for it to arrive in the mail.  :-)

I started this blog to keep track of my weight loss, but to be honest, I have only been able to step on the scale once every 3 months when I go to the doctors office for my asthma meds.  And although the number isn't moving, I feel myself getting stronger, and not needing the asthma meds as much as I did when we lived in Alaska.

So, if you are interested in PiYo, please send me a message, comment on this blog.  Get in touch with me someway.  I would love for you to be on my team.

Focus T25 Arrived in the mail...

So I'm reading through everything that I got in my box, and it says to weigh myself every Saturday.  Well, since I promised hubs that I wouldn't buy a scale until after my March 11th doctor appointment, I'm gonna have to do the other measurements.  :-)

So, why did I make that promise, because I had been obsessed with the scale, and when we moved from Alaska to Alabama, he wouldn't let me pack it.  When we were moving into our home and purchasing stuff, he told me no.  So after my appointment in December, we talked again about buying one, so I could watch my weight (especially since I had gained LOTS of weight), and we made the deal that at my next appointment (because of my asthma, I need to see her quarterly for my meds) we would get me a scale.  I'm terrified that I will go back to being obsessed, but I know that at least weekly will be ok.  (Oh, and when I say obsessed, it was every morning, every evening, and one the weekends, during the day.)

New Year, New Me

Wow, it has been a while since I have written a blog.

I guess I will start with the goals.  I have written two different goals; long-term for 2013 and goals for January.

January's Goals:

Since December 2012 did not end on a pleasant note (fitness wise...with a gain of 2.5 pounds for the month) I am sort of not sure where to start.
I guess I will start with the most obvious...
1) I will LOSE 6 pounds this month
2) I will STOP Drinking soda
3) I will start eating clean
4) I will exercise 4 days a week
5) I will not weigh in daily! - -biggest weakness
6) I will STOP drinking alcohol - I LOVE my burbon and coke...
I am starting off the new year and new month optomistic!  If I lose 6 pounds a month, I will have my goal weight by June 1!

2013 Goals:
This is going to be for my LONG term goals, in addition to the monthly goals I post.
In 2013, I will...
1) Get to my goal weight of 130 - a loss of 29 pounds
2) Get my CPA and/or Certified Internal Auditor designation
3) Go back to school to get my Tax or Business law degree
I know these are not all fitness related, but they are all my goals for the year.

I need to continue blogging to help me write out my thoughts...I feel that I was more accountable when I was blogging.  I am saddened that I didn't lose more weight, but since I have started losing weight, I have lost 14.5 pounds for 2012.  This is a good thing.

I really like the 10-minute traininer program that I got back in October, and I need to get back to using it!

Here is to a new year and a new ME!  Here is to a new year and and new YOU!

New workout program

So, it has been a while since my last post, but that doesn't mean I have been slacking off.  I ordered a new workout program...Ten Minute Trainer, from Beach Body,  I have not broken down and bought the shakeology that goes with it, because I'm happy with the GNC shakes.

So back to my story...
I bought the Ten Minute trainer (TMT) and LOVE it.  I have on,y been using it for about a week, but I can really tell a difference in my strength,  about a month or so back, I originally borrowed ACL-workers TMT and liked it, but never had the money to order my own.  I finally got the money, and I'm glad I bought it.  It came with 3 different resistance bands and some other freebies I haven't used yet, but I'm looking forward to the different workouts.  I am hopeful this will not get as boring as the other DVDs I have had for a long time.

I have been on track with my diet, and although I'm still obsessed with the scale, I can see the number getting smaller.  I am positive that I will make my 5 pound weight loss goal, this month.

Sister is here...and stuff

So my sister is here for a week, I was not sure how much exercise I would actually get done, but today I beat my personal best for the plank.

Today I walked 2 miles with my Leslie Sansone DVD and baby girl acted as my personal trainer. She is very good at that. After I walked the 2 miles, I did planks, squats and push-ups. My arms are killing me!  So, for my plank? I held it for 2 minutes and 32 seconds...my personal best!  My goal is to be able to hold a plank for 5 minutes by the end of August. I think it can be done.

Oh, and the other good news...I've lost weight!  So really that is the point of exercising and eating well, but when I put on my pants for work yesterday, they were too big!  It felt like it was a tent. The hops were just super baggy. I'm gonna have to take them to be altered.  The waist was also big, but not as obvious as the hips. It really helped to brighten my Monday.

Anyway, I hope that when you read this, you have had or will hve a wonderful day.

Plank challenge and other stuff

So tonight I did a plank challenge with my kids! Super fun, but I will say it was a bit rigged. I have been doing planks for a while and baby girl is in cheer, so her core is super strong. Baby boy didn't really have a chance, but he surprised us all.

Plank challenge :
Round 1.                      Round 2
Baby girl:  0.55.           1.36
Baby boy:  1.07.           1.30
Me:  1.45.                     2.00

In baby boy's defense, he didn't even know what a plank was when we started this challenge. He has also spent the majority of the summer doing NOTHING...so to hang for over a minute impressed me, but he is also competitive.

I finished the workout with sit-ups, v-ups, full body roll up and stretches. Even though it wasn't a traditional work out, I enjoyed getting the kids to "play".

Hitting the 'wall'

Last week I have had problems with forgetfulness, being grumpy and tired, all the time.  I think after 6 weeks for consistant working out, I finally hit that "wall".  I took the majority of this past week off from working out and I feel better, so when I go back to working out tomorrow, I'm hoping for renwed energy. To be honest, I even stopped eating healthy and drinking the water I know I should.

I am nervous about what the scale will show on my weekly weigh in (tomorrow) but I know that my clothes are still loose and that should be enought.  Right?

Today, I will be spending the day at baby girls car wash, so it will be a final day of not a typical work-out.  I think I like the non-typical work outs.
